Why do I write about Jesus? Share on X I believe currently as a people we are going through an identity crisis. We see it all around us. Claims to be who we want to be or who we feel like being. That is all well-intentioned but as believers, we have to take a step back and see that if we want to have an identity that is set on a firm foundation we need to set it on Jesus.

Do you hear believers say this all the time? My identity rest in Christ. Well, it does. The problem with making that statement is we have to have something to back that up with. Otherwise, we ebb and flow with the tide. We tend to be driven by our feelings and quite honestly, I don’t always feel that way.

I believe the number one way to understand our identity is to study the person that we are to be like. You can’t just tell someone their identity rest in Christ and never explain what that means. Here at Seeking God that is my goal. Together we keep our conversations Christ-focused. Learning more about the person of Jesus so we can truly say and understand that our identity is in Him alone!
