God of All Comfort
Christ knew what I was facing and He was right beside me. He was holding me tight and rescuing my heart.
Your prayers played a vital role in that. That you cared enough about me to go to the throne of grace on my behalf, bless your hearts.

Certainly keeps us dependent. For some I know that can be scary to have to depend on someone else but I find it to be comforting to know I don't have to take care of it all. Thanks for stopping by Michelle.
Tiffiney says

Thank you for the living reminder of the comfort Christ brings in the midst of life's difficulties and storms. I'm right there with you–I'm also a Christ-follower because there is no way I could do this alone 🙂 Very well said!
Thank you again for hosting. Wishing you a blessed week!

Cheryl says
I am SO sorry for your loss, Jaime! The verse you shared about the God of all comfort has been one of my sustaining verses throughout many heartaches and much loss. The Word of God is such a precious solace, and God is so faithful. I am SO thankful your son is fine. It is so wonderful to hear how God answers prayer! I trust He will hold you and your family extra close, as you grieve, and yet, rejoice that your son is well. 🙂
Jaime Wiebel says
It is wonderful to have those sustaining verses in times of heartache and during life's trials. To have them dwell deep in our heart to show us truth in the tough times. Thank you so much for your kind words, Cheryl.
Le'nae Brooks says
I am so sorry for your loss Jamie! Praying for you and family! I am very happy your son is doing well, God is in the midst with his healing hands. Thank you for sharing about comfort and letting people in. It can be so hard sometimes to do that!
Jaime Wiebel says
Thank you for your sympathies Le'Nae. It is difficult to be transparent. You don't know how it is going to be received. These times are put before for a purpose and we need to consider God's purpose to heal and heal others in those times.
Patrick weseman says

He is our only hope in times of trials. I am not sure what else you have to hang on to in times of any trial. Leaning on Him is my saving grace.
Mary Dolan Flaherty says
I'm so glad that all went well at the doctor's. I'm sorry to hear of your husband's aunt's passing. The death of someone close always makes us so much more aware of our own mortality.Thank you for sharing your heart here with us. I'm sure your post is a blessing to someone who needs to hear it. And as always, thanks for hosting the party!
Jaime Wiebel says
Thank you so much Mary. You always have such encouraging comments here for me. Death does put us face to face with our own mortality but life in Christ is not a life of mortality for us just for our bodies. Thanks for sharing with us this week.
Rebekah Harris says
What a powerful testimony when God comforts us in the midst of pain, death and trial. Thank you so much for sharing what you have been going through. We all our going through difficult things in different seasons and as God comforts us he uses us to comfort others. I went through some hard things the end of last year and God truly did comfort me and gave me that verse in 2 Cor. to hold onto. I was able to see how he gives us such comfort so that we can be a comfort to others. Praying right now that God will continue to comfort you and your family!! xoxo
Jaime Wiebel says
I remember that Rebekah. I hope there is abundant healing in your heart. The verse that I held onto during really difficult days was 1 Thes. when God tells us not to be anxious about anything, through prayer and supplications give all you worries to Christ and he will give you peace beyond your understanding, Of Course, that is my abbreviated version. Peace in our hearts in times of trial. What an amazing blessing.
Julie Lefebure says
I'm sorry for your loss, and am praising God your son is doing well. I am thankful Jesus shows us comfort, and equips us to turn around and comfort others. Thank you for opening yourself to sharing your heart here. It's a joy to get to know you through your words. Following you at Jennifer's this week. Blessings!
Jaime Wiebel says
I love the Lord because if we are His, we are known by Him. He knows the comfort we need before we know we need it and delights in us and wants to bless us in that way. Thank you so much for sharing with us Julie. I hope to see you back next week.
Rachel Britton says
Jamie, I love how you've written about these hard things in the midst of your difficult time even though it's not easy. Your words are honest and powerful, and speak so much about the comfort Jesus gives. It is so much more meaningful to talk about it now because, as your say, Christ's comfort is immediate. We don't have to wait to know peace until after things have got better, or settled down, or until the other side of death. I pray you will continue to know the rock you stand on is secure. Hugs.
Jaime Wiebel says
So true, Rachel. The comfort can be immediate. He is right beside us in the midst of heartache. The comfort right then is such proof of that. Moreover the opportunity to turn that comfort to others, what a way He blesses us. Thanks for stopping by again this week Rachel.
Angela Parlin says
I am so sorry for your loss. But thank you for sharing this…you are so right that we are comforted by God and others & then able to share that comfort with others. Love this line: "When God has poured all His comfort out on us, we are able to give that same comfort to others." Visiting from #livefree linkup today!

one of my favorites – II Cor. 1 – thanks for sharing the love and grace of our Lord Jesus you've experienced firsthand. We believe these things but know them through pain and loss and disappointment. – xx
Jaime Wiebel says
Going through the storm and experiencing God's promises and love through it makes it more real. Although this was still raw, I know there are people facing this every minute of the day and that there had to be someone who needed to hear that God was for them!
Jennifer Clarke says
I'm so sorry for your loss of a dearly loved aunt. I applaud you for reaching out to extend the same comfort you received. Our God is so good to always give enough grace, whether "enough" is a regular amount for regular days, or extraordinary amounts for impossible ones. Thank you for sharing with us at Grace & Truth!
Jaime Wiebel says
Thank you, Jennifer. For those encouraging words. God gives us enough and Isn't that always true no matter what he is giving. He is always enough. Thanks again.

I'm so glad you felt encouraged by the prayers being lifted up for you and your family, Jaime. And there truly is so much hope in our loving and powerful Savior. I'm so glad you are pointing folks to Him. He is our source of strength in any trial. Thanks so much for the linkup, my friend!
Karen says
I'm so grateful for the comfort of God! It's ironic that the only way we can know His compassion and grace like this is to be in situations of great heartache. May God show Himself to you and your family in clear ways in the days ahead. Blessings!
Raising Samuels says
Oh my friend, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband's aunt, and everything you are going through. I love your encouragement and understand how you feel, because I am the same way. I am afraid to let people know too much about me as well, but we are the church as you said and prayer is so powerful! I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to link up at your party. My husband is getting ready to have surgery on his shoulder, and we've had many doctor appointments and I am trying to stay strong, and also keep up with everything. Prayers to you my friend and thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday 🙂
