In the Wake of Comfort
First of all, I just want to say to all of you who prayed for me and my family this week, thank you so much. Your comments have been such a blessing. I have felt the peace so deeply this week. My son’s appointment went fine and all is well. God of All Comfort
Christ knew what I was facing and He was right beside me. He was holding me tight and rescuing my heart.
Your prayers played a vital role in that. That you cared enough about me to go to the throne of grace on my behalf, bless your hearts.
Comfort in Trials
As we face these trials, I know we can seek His comfort. I know, God is in control. I know, He knows the path He has laid out for us. He knows me and calls me by name and I can rest my weary head in His comfort.Hope in Christ, Alone

New Book From Lisa Murray Peace For A Lifetime

Certainly keeps us dependent. For some I know that can be scary to have to depend on someone else but I find it to be comforting to know I don't have to take care of it all. Thanks for stopping by Michelle.

I am SO sorry for your loss, Jaime! The verse you shared about the God of all comfort has been one of my sustaining verses throughout many heartaches and much loss. The Word of God is such a precious solace, and God is so faithful. I am SO thankful your son is fine. It is so wonderful to hear how God answers prayer! I trust He will hold you and your family extra close, as you grieve, and yet, rejoice that your son is well. 🙂

Thank you for your sympathies Le'Nae. It is difficult to be transparent. You don't know how it is going to be received. These times are put before for a purpose and we need to consider God's purpose to heal and heal others in those times.

He is our only hope in times of trials. I am not sure what else you have to hang on to in times of any trial. Leaning on Him is my saving grace.

What a powerful testimony when God comforts us in the midst of pain, death and trial. Thank you so much for sharing what you have been going through. We all our going through difficult things in different seasons and as God comforts us he uses us to comfort others. I went through some hard things the end of last year and God truly did comfort me and gave me that verse in 2 Cor. to hold onto. I was able to see how he gives us such comfort so that we can be a comfort to others. Praying right now that God will continue to comfort you and your family!! xoxo
I remember that Rebekah. I hope there is abundant healing in your heart. The verse that I held onto during really difficult days was 1 Thes. when God tells us not to be anxious about anything, through prayer and supplications give all you worries to Christ and he will give you peace beyond your understanding, Of Course, that is my abbreviated version. Peace in our hearts in times of trial. What an amazing blessing.

Jamie, I love how you've written about these hard things in the midst of your difficult time even though it's not easy. Your words are honest and powerful, and speak so much about the comfort Jesus gives. It is so much more meaningful to talk about it now because, as your say, Christ's comfort is immediate. We don't have to wait to know peace until after things have got better, or settled down, or until the other side of death. I pray you will continue to know the rock you stand on is secure. Hugs.

Going through the storm and experiencing God's promises and love through it makes it more real. Although this was still raw, I know there are people facing this every minute of the day and that there had to be someone who needed to hear that God was for them!
I'm so sorry for your loss of a dearly loved aunt. I applaud you for reaching out to extend the same comfort you received. Oh my friend, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband's aunt, and everything you are going through. I love your encouragement and understand how you feel, because I am the same way. I am afraid to let people know too much about me as well, but we are the church as you said and prayer is so powerful! I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to link up at your party. My husband is getting ready to have surgery on his shoulder, and we've had many doctor appointments and I am trying to stay strong, and also keep up with everything.
