My Grandma and I were talking today about the<br />
faithfulness of God. My grandma whom I have had the&nbsp;privilege&nbsp;of studying the<br />
Word of God with my whole life was telling me she could&nbsp;write a book about how<br />
faithful God has been to her. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I said let’s do it. You get started. You have the first<br />
one hundred pages and then I will take it from there.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is her current story (I hope she doesn’t mind<br />
me sharing). Living on Social Security. Just had home taxes due this month. Car<br />
license plates to pay for. Car insurance. She pays everything after she tithes.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<a href="https://i0.wp.com/4.bp.blogspot.com/-7VWCt-IksBI/VgYt7bspVcI/AAAAAAAAFfk/PY0kn4sEkD4/s1600/Matthew62526.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img data-recalc-dims="1" fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" border="0" height="320" src="https://i0.wp.com/fuh.sak.mybluehost.me/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Matthew62526.jpg?resize=320%2C320" width="320" /></a>As she was sitting on a frontage road at a stop sign<br />
two days ago, someone turned too close to the corner, crosses the line, hit the<br />
front end of her car and continues to drive away. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
With all these things going on in her life (finacially) and she<br />
is reminding me how faithful God has been to her. Explaining how He has always<br />
taken care of her and she is confident that He always will.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
What an inspiration she is. She says she doesn’t have<br />
to worry about where the money is going to come from or if she is going to get<br />
it because she knows that GOD IS FAITHFUL.&nbsp;</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
She is right. He will never leave us<br />
nor forsake us. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br />
<a name='more'></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
She loves to tell me the story of when her children<br />
were small and my grandfather was hurt from work and they were living on $35 a<br />
week. She said people were bringing in meals and groceries. Their bills were<br />
always paid and they continued to trust God would take care of them and He did.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Here is my half of the book. Don’t worry today it<br />
won’t be 100+ pages. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I have been a stay-at-home mom for 8 years. When my<br />
husband and I decided that I would stay home we were not sure how we would be<br />
able to manage with our income being cut by more than half. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I knew that God would take care of us. Growing up,<br />
my family lived on a shoestring budget. I always felt like we had everything<br />
even though I knew we didn’t have much money. It was a life I had been<br />
accustomed to growing up and felt we too could handle it and knew God would be<br />
faithful.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I have many similar stories as my grandma. There<br />
are weeks that I have looked at the shampoo bottle and thought for certain it<br />
will be gone before Friday and it lasts for two more weeks. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I cannot tell you how many times the diaper box has<br />
looked nearly empty and should not last through Tuesday and it lasts until the<br />
next payday.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
When Mother Hubbard&#8217;s cupboard seems completely bare, we eat better meals than when our cupboards are full.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The checkbook appears to be completely empty but we<br />
have not one more need until Friday payday.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Every bill is paid, every month and on time. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
One thing that my husband and I have learned is we<br />
were completely frivolous with our money before I stopped working. The most<br />
important thing that we have learned, however, is GOD IS FAITHFUL.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Time and time again we seem to be living on the edge<br />
of being completely empty and yet we have all we need. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In the past eight years we have not been without. GOD<br />
IS FAITHFUL. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
We are not frugal. We get the things we need and<br />
often times get the things that we want but the bottom line is we trust that<br />
God will take care of us. We trust His promises to us. We have no doubts of<br />
what He will and can do because we have lived His promises. &nbsp;</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I can rest in the promise of Matthew 6:25-26 “That<br />
is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life&#8211;whether you have enough<br />
food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn&#8217;t life more than food, and your<br />
body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don&#8217;t plant or harvest<br />
or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren&#8217;t you far<br />
more valuable to Him than they are?&#8221;</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
As my grandma and I were sitting by the pond at the<br />
park today, we were admiring the&nbsp;instinctual skills of&nbsp;a&nbsp;large group of ducks walking around pecking at the ground.<br />
I said, &#8220;What are they eating?&#8221; The only thing we could see were a few leaves and the<br />
grass. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The funny thing was the ducks knew. They knew what<br />
was there was worthy of being food. They knew where to go to get what they needed.<br />
They were not wandering around the park with the heads thrown back, quacking<br />
songs of worry about where they were going to get their next meal. It was just<br />
there for them. They knew it. &nbsp;</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Don’t miss the part in Matthew 6:26 when Jesus says,<br />
“Aren’t you more valuable to Him than they are?” God takes care of the ducks.<br />
They don’t question his sources. They don’t question the amount or if He has<br />
limits. They just eat. No worries. </div>
<p></p>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Christ reminds us we are more valuable than they are. What<br />
am I promised? I am promised that God will take care of me and I can tell you without question GOD IS FAITHFUL.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
</div>
