In 4 Strategies to Battle Temptation, we learned that one way to battle temptation was to remember God’s Faithfulness.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
Remembering God’s faithfulness has been an essential part of my lifeline. 10 years ago, I was teaching and my husband and I decided it was best for me to stay-at-home after having our first child.
Not knowing where that would lead, we decided to step out and trust that God would take care of us. We had to trust that He would be faithful. After all, I had seen His faithfulness with my parents growing up and with my grandparents.
For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 100:5 (NLT)
God has shown me His faithfulness on a daily basis and I know that in taking these steps and leaning into Him to show up in my life He will continue to prove that He is who He is.
One of my favorite people to talk to about God’s faithfulness with is my grandmother. She could write a book on the things God has done for her and shown His faithfulness to her for all these years. Not a joke, weekly as we have conversations she has a story.
Stories of God’s comfort, peace, love, goodness, mercy, strength, unbounded grace, trust, and yes, convictions.
We see this same faithfulness throughout the Old and New Testament. From beginning to end we see a story of a God who is in relentless pursuit of His children and through all their rebellion He remains faithful.
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 2 Timothy 2:13 (NLT)
When God spoke to Moses from the burning bush He said to Moses, “I am the God of Abraham, The God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” He was reminding Moses He was the same God. He was the God of His Fathers. He had proved to be good, trustworthy and faithful to them and He would prove the same to Moses and all the Israelites. He will prove the same to you today!
Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Psalm 36:5 (NLT)
Although at times it may feel or appear, as it did to Moses, that there may be an end to God’s faithfulness. Maybe we question if He will come through in this situation or this stage in our life.
We may ask those age-old questions. WHY? Why did this happen God? Where were you when…? Did you even notice that this just happened?
What we are wondering is, is God faithful?
How can He cause this suffering? Can I trust Him to get me through this? Will He be here in this story? Or will I have to do it alone?
We think that our suffering or heartache are a measurement of His faithfulness and not His mercy and love.
I learned quickly, through suffering a great loss that the best thing to realize God’s faithfulness was to ask for what purpose instead of why. His purpose has declared to me time and time again of who He truly is.
We can be sure that His faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. It is as vast as the Heavens. Praise the Lord!
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 (ESV)
We have this hope as an anchor for our souls and we can hold to it without wavering. We can cling to that hope by remembering the times that God has been faithful not only for us but for His children for all of History.
One of the ways that we can offer hope to others is by sharing the hope that we have within us. We can share the times that God has been faithful to us.
Faithful to complete a task. Faithful to show His goodness and kindness. Faithful to show up every morning with an opportunity to show us who He really is.
Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:23 (NLT)
For He who called you is faithful. He will be faithful to complete and sanctify you in every way until the day He comes again. Hallelujah!
Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (NLT)
Today, we are going to boast about God. In the comments below, we are going to testify to His faithfulness by sharing a time when He was faithful in your own life. Do this to not only encourage us but for your own benefit of remembering God is Faithful.

Your words challenge me to be more faithful in my sharing God's faithfulness. I never want to give the impression that anything good in my life is because of my own merit or accomplishment. Thanks, Jaime!
Jaime Wiebel says
That is great, Michele. I said to my neighbor one day when talking about staying at home and our finances. God is good. I think these are great ways to open up the conversations. Even if not that time, they know who you seek for your goodness and who is your sufficient provider. Thanks for joining us, friend!
Meg Weyerbacher says
I am glad I was here today Jaime. God had been here for us too everyday. He protects my husband out on the road (we have stories to prove it), he constantly provides (sometimes in crazy ways and I have proof!), he shows up in these little (but huge) daily miracles that you KNOW they are from him because no one else knows the details (he likes surprising us!). I could go on and on seriously. I am in awe of Him. Tank you friend!!
Jaime Wiebel says
I am glad you are here today, too, Meg. I always enjoying reading you comments and I have seen some of your posts that you have given the glory to God to get you through these times. What a great way to show His faithfulness to others, friend! I totally hear you with the little but big things. I was with a group of women one time going on and on about how God has provided. It sounds silly but there were weeks when my kids were little and I thought (it being Monday or Tuesday) there is no way I am going to make it to Friday with this many diapers. I would change them just like normal not even thinking about it and then Friday would get there and I had all I needed. I could go on about toilet paper, and shampoo, food, and more. He is faithful and trustworthy in those little (big) things that has made all the difference of me giving my weeks to Him. He has let me see Him be my ultimate provider. That has just been in the provisions. It goes on the all areas of my life. He shows up in real and mighty ways. And before this become an entire post, I am going to end with He IS faithful!

"One of the ways that we can offer hope to others is by sharing the hope that we have within us."
The simplicity of how to encourage others lies within the Jesus within ourselves. How quickly I sometimes forget this. Beautiful inspiration.
Jaime Wiebel says
Thank you so much for joining us, Brittany. He really does lie within us and I agree we sometimes become so used to that kind of thinking that it doesn't stay the amazing miracle it is. But truly what a blessing we have in Jesus. Have a great wee, friend!

My grandmother ,too has shared God's faithfulness in her life with me . She has experienced persecution for Christ ,poverty ,and death of her still born twins(just naming a few). Through the songs and storms of life,God remains faithful . Oh great is His faithfulness to all generation.
Thank you for this blessed post,Jaime!
Jaime Wiebel says
That is amazing, Diana, that you have that relationship that you can rely on to know that God truly is faithful through the generations. You, too, have a real treasure in your life. My grandmother has has those similar experiences with the loss of three infants and one adult child. God has remained steadfast and true through it all and it is pure joy to talk with her about it. Blessings, friend!

"One of the ways that we can offer hope to others is by sharing the hope that we have within us." I love the way you worded this. Sometimes our testimony helps others see how real our God is. Great post.

Thanks for the encouragement, Timberley. What an amazing witness we have in us. The opportunity to share the Christ that dwells within us and the hope and light that He gives through us. It is quite an honor to be able to have a space, as you very well know, to share the Jesus that has given us our all.

Jaime- I need to be better about sharing God's faithfulness to those around me.Thank you for this reminder!
Hugs!
Jaime Wiebel says
I think most of can be better. After all, we have a hope in Jesus that can only be found in Him and we are surrounded by people that seek it in everything else. Thanks, as always, for being here, friend!

I love that your grandmother always has a story to tell about what God has done. We all have those if we would just look for them! I am reminded from James when he says, "Every Good and perfect things comes from above!" Thank you for your encourage words and reminders!
Jaime Wiebel says
It is a real gift to have the opportunity to have a woman that has experienced life and tried to keep following God through it all. To have someone encourage me through the stages of my life is something every believer needs. To have that person that can be honest with you about your mistakes and your victories and always point to Christ is an absolute blessing. This is certainly a gift from above. Thanks for sharing with us here, friend!

As I have heard and know, God loves all people and creatures equally. He never discriminated among anyone. However, it all depends on people how they make harmony among them all.

Thanks, Jaime! Keeping our eyes on God and His faithfulness is exactly what my family needs right now. We are preparing for a celebration of my brother's life tomorrow, and it has been an incredibly challenging time for all of us, but God… He keeps showing up in the most amazing ways and offers comforts and blessings. We are reminded of His faithfulness just two years ago when He pulled us together and got us through losing our dad. He's been with us before and He's here with us now. Thanks for sharing! Blessings to you, my friend!
Jaime Wiebel says
Carlie, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. No matter the situation it is always tough to lose seeing people. I am so glad to hear that you are seeing God's Faithfulness and that you are able to attest to it during difficult times and in puling your family together. I will be praying for your healing and God's comfort during this time and as the reality settles in. Blessings to you my friend!

Very nice. One thing I am learning is being more faithful and putting my trust into God. I am learning if you take one step towards him, He will take many steps towards you.
Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

That is great, Patrick. The more you lean into Christ, the more you will see Him in different areas of your life and He will certainly meet you in that place. Thanks as always for showing us your world through your lens. Have a great rest of your weekend as well.
