The Heart of God & Sitting Among Friends Blog Party #34

July 20, 2016 by Jaime Wiebel 28 Comments

You may have noticed a few changes around here. I started blogging about a year and a half ago. At that time not many people were stopping by. It didn’t really matter, though. I had started this adventure because I felt the calling from God to do something different with my ministry and I needed to be obedient.

Not knowing what that meant or how it would look, I went into this thing totally blind.
In fact, I didn’t even know what blogging was. I didn’t have a computer, the internet and I didn’t have any social media accounts. (I know, what era was I living in? It’s okay, I’ve heard it before.)
I finally jumped on my tablet. Grabbed a site and started right in.
The name of my site actually came from my first post and just became the name of my blog. Divine placement, I suppose. And my site address can from my email address. Don’t ask me why.
I had started doing this from a recommendation from my husband. Yes, the one that said to me this week, “That is a lot of work.”
Finally, after this long, I was able to put into words my heart’s greatest passion.
With a shortened version of my original title and a description that spoke the words of my heart.
Seeking God In All I Do has become Seeking God and Finding Our Identity In Heart of God is my greatest desire for myself and for all of you.
The inspiration came from none other than my four-year-old little girl. Isn’t it funny who God will put in the right place at the right time to speak truth into our heart?
I, after a year and half of blogging, couldn’t get the right few words to let people know what this site is about. What I am about. What my passion for sharing God with the World Wide Web is about.
Although, I have had this conversation with many people. It took the purity, innocence and honesty of one of God’s little princesses to lay this simple phrase on my heart.
During our family devotion the other night, which I am learning is too precious to miss, I asked my children why we read the Bible.
My little girl looked me in the eye with her sweet little voice and said, “So we can know God’s heart.”
I had to catch my breath and keep from melting right in front of her. I kissed her sweet face and said, “That is exactly right.” How do children know what our hearts have a hard time saying?
Why else would we read the Bible? God wants us to know His heart. The thought of that makes me overwhelmed with feelings I barely have words for.
A God that I do not deserve to wash the feet of, wants me to know His heart and He only asks us for one thing in return, for us to give Him ours.
Not only does He want me to know. He wants you to know.
He wants you to know He loves you with an Everlasting Love. Jeremiah 31:3
He wants you to know He has called you and He knows Your name. John 10:3
He wants you to know no matter what your hurt or sorrow is, He will wipe your tears and replace your sadness with joy. John 16:20
He wants you to know no matter what you fear, He has redeemed you and you are His. Isaiah 43:1
No matter your past, present, or future, He has a plan for you. A plan to lavish His grace and mercy into your heart and life. Jeremiah 29:11
Not matter what you think you have done to never deserve the love of a father, He has called you child. 1 John 3:1
Friends, the heart of God is beyond our comprehension. It is greater than we can understand but we can be certain about one thing. His great love for His us is beyond what we could ask or imagine.
If you missed my post last week, also inspired from the mouth of one of my babes, you can know God. You can be certain that He has called you His own.
If you are ready to experience the kind of Love I can barely muster into words, check out this post. It will tell you how and offer you great a great resource for further questions. If you ever need to talk about how you can be certain to know you have a relationship with Christ, I would love to chat. youresewtrendy@gmail.com.
This week, I have had the privilege of having guest blogger, Rachel Britton. Read her post, A Pure Heart for Prayer. I love her space and her encouragement to a healthy prayer life. She has a new eBook available at her site called Tough Love Prayer Challenge. Guess What? It’s FREE! Just sign up for her mailing list, which always has great content.

They are too precious. You are right. Just when we think we are teaching them something, they reveal a deeper God than I could realize. Thanks for visiting every week, Susan.

Jaime, isn't it always so amazing how God uses our little children to teach us such profound truths and draw us into His heart? Love your heart for God and your new look!! May you always keep your eyes on Him. Blessings to you!

Thanks for the encouragement and noticing my new look.
It is amazing how kids can make things so simple and real. I worked with small children for a long time and the same thing always occurred to me. They can tell you so much about God because they don't have all the pretenses that we do. Thanks for coming here, friend! Glad you are sharing with us.

Susan beat me to the punch on quoting that great Scripture, but it's always a joy when our "babes" speak the truth of God and even better when we as their parent's had a hand in them seeking and seeing that truth, Jaime! What a great blessing and thanks so much for the linkup, my friend!

It's actually mind-boggling that the God of the universe wants us to know him.

Very precious words from your daughter. Those are the words you want to hold close to your heart forever.

    Thanks for hosting this party.

I am with you, Patti! Who am I that God would love me? The great thing it is because of Him. It is because of who He is. He is love. I don't have to be spectacular or the best of this or that. I just get to be loved. Amazing! Amen!

Thank you Jamie for the invite, haven't been here in awhile. As always very soothing words and voices. I have visited several blogs, and want to invite everyone to a couple of my blogs. As you know discouragement can come in many formats, and often sinks us into the question, are we doing what we were meant to do. I have always loved God, and writing. Writing encouragement, about God, and His benefits. My father was a minister and from the time I was a child I have known the goodness of a living Savior.

I am going to be bold here and ask that you guys please visit my work. I have a lot online as I start back in latter 2009. I know however, that everyone has a busy life. I have the Christian Network on blogger, and another website @ http://thewomanspost.com/ where I write about life, spiritual, living with balance and the like. All from a heart who knows all women need encouragement and praise.

I had mentioned to Jamie some time ago about my work not having taken off like I had wished, and she stated that you guys would help. **Jamie I hope you remember this….I am not trying to take away from this blog or anyone's as I know that I could not anyway.

You can feel the voice of God in Jamie's work and many other here. I wish you all well, and if you would like for me to advertise on my website I would be more than happy. I have 4000+ friends on Facebook. Some are not engaging, however, the words get acknowledged.

Thank you so much, and God Bless

Linda, I am glad you are here. Thank you for sharing your work with us when you get the opportunity. I would like to offer some encouragement for you, it is not only for you but this is something that I always keep in mind as I write.
Although I love all the people that come here, honestly, I do this out of obedience to God. Ephesians 6:7 says: Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.
I have to trust and obey that I am following His calling on my life. Whether or not this takes off for me is up to God and has always been. I enjoy this and I sense that you do, too. Keep walking in faith, friend. I am glad you are a part of this community. I hope for everyone that pages are getting visited. One reason I love this blog party is because it is a great way to have a community of people that share and encourage one another. Thank you for sharing you heart with us here, Linda.

To know God's heart. Yes! That's the reason. And the more we know of his heart, the more we see we are loved by him. So incredible! Love this: "Isn’t it funny who God will put in the right place at the right time to speak truth into our heart?" Yes. He is good.

    Hi Jaime,
I can just envision your Mama's heart melting all over the place when your sweet girl gave that answer! Beautiful! I love the changes you have made here and your message is one I feel passion for in my soul as well. When we recognize our identity through the filter of God's heart, we live free. We stop the enemy from running us around with his lies of who we are.

It was great to see Rachel featured here. I love her!

Thank you, friend, for always blessing me so. I am so thankful for you! And thankful for the hope you always share with us at #MomentsofHope!
    Hugs,
    Lori
