While kids are digging into God’s Word they can realize His
purpose for them, how they fit into God’s family, how to have faith and
friendship with God and many more topics.

I really enjoyed the layout of this book. Each devotional
has one or two verses to read and study followed by the teachings of Pastor
Rick Warren and prayer to finish out the devotion.

What I loved about this book is that each lesson is short
enough for a child that is able to read to accomplish daily devotions on their
own and learn something real and deep from the Bible. The devotions are
impactful for the current stage in their young lives and can travel with them
through each new stage in life.

The practice of following the devotion with a guided prayer
gives the children the opportunity to learn that prayer doesn’t have to be long
and fancy, it just has to come from the heart of the matter.

I would recommend this devotional and think it would be
great for individual study and for a great family time to discuss each topic.
