Each day has one adorable VeggieTale character (this is actually how my daughter picks which devotion she wants to read). At the top of the page is a topic. Followed by a Bible verse and a short, fun devotion. The devotion would be easy to read for younger readers and is easy enough to understand for the younger child.
Devotion recommended for ages 4-7 years of age.
There are two different editions, although, I think most topics can go either way.

I have three boys, and David and Goliath is one of their favorite stories at the moment. Giants and slingshots–what could be better for little boys??? 🙂
