Friends I am so honored to share this post with you. I am going to combine to posts. I hope this is okay and not against the rules.
Recently, I have been sent 3 messages about being nominated for an award. The reason I didn’t respond right away is because I have to nominate other bloggers. As I have only been blogging for a year, I did not know many people.
Recently, I started Sitting Among Friends Blog Party and what an amazing opportunity it has been to meet and read the work of other bloggers. I just want to say that there are so many talented, gifted and passionate people that really are doing great things online.
This post may look long but it is a lot of question answer so it reads fast.
The first Award that I received was the Sisterhood of the Traveling Bloggers Award, which I will write about on another post.
For the Liebster Award, I was nominated by two different people Tanya from WilliamsStand and Trena and Beth from Classes by Beth. I had to look at what both of these Awards were because I wasn’t exactly sure what they meant.
My main question was when would I be able to dress up to walk down the red carpet to receive these awards to proudly display on my award shelf. So much went running through my head, like where am I going to get my new outfit? Who am I going to thank? Who will I take with me? The list goes on.
Apparently, after some diligent research, that is not going to happen. Something, possibly even greater, has occurred. My fellow bloggers, whom I love, have noticed that I am here and have wanted to share this with me. How Awesome! Thank you so much for the encouragement. Now it is time to pass that encouragement on to some other great writers.
This is the way Liebster Award works: (After you take your bow, of course.)
1. You write a post accepting the award.
2. You include the person that nominated you for the award and anything they may have said about your site and link back to their site.
3. You answer the 5-10 questions that they asked from the link from their site.
4. You choose 5-10 bloggers that you would like to pass the award on to. This is supposed to be for newer bloggers with 200 or so followers. That information is hard to find so you be the judge.
5. You ask the bloggers that you nominated to answer 5-10 or your questions in a post.
6. Those bloggers pass the blogging love onto others.
You can choose to accept or not accept this award but it helps everyone out by posting links to some of your favorite blogs on your page and encouraging some friends to keep doing what they do. You get to post this pretty award sticker somewhere on your blog.
So without further ado…
Thank you so much for the nominations.
The first nomination came from my Jamaican friend, Tanya Williams. She writes at WilliamsStand.
Please stop by and read her posts. She has a unique way of looking at life and loves the Lord and wants to share her passion for serving Him with you.
To answer Tanya’s questions
1. What activity do you do that makes you forget time and space?
Blogging and keeping up on posting on social media. Time can quickly slip away from me, I have to be very conscience about how I spend that time.
4. Whose music are you listening to right now?
5. When Jesus called, did he say your name?
7. Have you ever visited Jamaica?
8. What is the best writing tip you have ever received?
9. If you knew blogging would be this hard, would you still do it?
10. Are you ridiculously happy ?
- This is what they posted on their site about Seeking God – Jaime presents encouraging and inspirational posts, sure to make you smile with her sincere enthusiasm for the Lord! Thank you so much for those very kind words. Here are the answers to your questions.
How do I narrow it down. I write and rewrite until I love it (My obsessive personality) . But I think that my most recent favorite post was The 12 Praise of Christmas. It was a lot different post than I usually write. My husband helped me with the writing of it for first time, which was awesome. It combined two things that I love, scripture and music. It was very well received by my readers. All good things.
2. Why do you blog?
3. What is your greatest motivation for writing?
4. What’s the first thing you look for when checking out a new blog?
5. Do you follow a specific schedule or just write when the spirit moves you?
6. What comment are you most thrilled to see from readers?
7. What do you think is the strongest feature of your blog?
8. What aspect of your blog do you want to improve this year?
9. What widget do you find to be the most useful?
10. How often do you read other bloggers’ posts?
That was fun but now the really fun part. I am so excited to be able to nominate other bloggers. Since I have combined two nominations, I am going to do one list of nominees and one list of questions.
I know many of these people have a larger following and are not new to blogging (This rule I am going to break) These are bloggers I really enjoy for so any different reasons. Please visit them and share their blogs. All are fantastic godly women. They are in no particular order.
1. Rachel Britton at RachelBritton
2. Sue Donaldson at Welcome Heart
3. Pam Blosser at Journey to Him
4. Kelly at Raising Samuels
5. Linda at Being Woven
6. Beth Willis Miller at Beth Willis Miller
7. Tayrina Gonzalez at His Purpose in Me
8. Rebekah Harris at Faithful With the Little
9. Ifeoma Samuel at Purposeful and Meaningful
10. Karrilee Aggett at Abiding Love Abounding Grace
Here are the list of questions for my blogger friends
1. What is your favorite thing to do with your family?
2. How did you spend the holidays?
3. Do you have any goals, resolutions, or a “word” for the new year?
4. Where is you favorite place to vacation?
5. How diligent are you about documenting your life with writing, pictures, or blogging?
6. What is your favorite place to spend time with the Lord?
7. Are you a part of any communities that encourage your walk with Christ?
8. What made you begin blogging?
9. What is your one “secret tip” for blogging that you want to share?
10. If you could be doing any job you choose, what would it be?
After answer this list, would you please email me or post a comment on my page with a link to your page. I love community and sitting down with friends and discussing life. I would love to get to know you more. I would like to see the answers to your questions. Send me a link and I will check it out and comment.

WOW! Two bloggers nominated you. Glad to check out your nominees and make "more friends". Some of them were on my list of potentials as well, but were above the "followers" rule (glad you broke it!) or just didn't make the first 10 when it came down to "picking". So many great bloggers out there! Looking forward to your link-up each week and reading more of your posts!
Jaime Wiebel says
Trena,
I am so glad that you have joined us here. Picking was quite hard and I have been making my lists for some time. It was hard to narrow down. There are great writers with so much to offer. I am glad to be a part of this community.

Hello, Jaime. Congratulations on your awards! I, too, was awarded the Liebster award a couple months ago. I nominated Tanya, who nominated you! Small world, isn't it? I enjoyed learning a little more about you. I'm looking forward to linking up with your new Sitting Among Friends Blog Party.
Have a great evening. Found you at Word of God Speak link-up.

Such a small world or online world. That is awesome and congratulations. What a cool thing that friends think enough of us to want to honor us or our writing in some way. Thank you for stopping forward. We look forward to you linking up with us Wednesdays.
